My work with curriculum design has been vital for public, charter, and private schools. I fell in love with the opportunity to ensure all students see themselves represented, fostering a sense of belonging and self-worth in the course materials that they have available to them. My efforts have allowed for parents, teachers, administration leaders, and students to experience a variety of perspectives, methods, and cultures that promote empathy and understanding. Not only do I break down stereotypes and combat prejudice by presenting a more accurate and comprehensive view of history and society, I also contribute to closing achievement gaps by addressing the diverse needs and learning styles of all students, with an ultimate objective of promoting genuine equity in education.
